You see a car and wonder who owns the company that made it. This answers that in one screen, then lets you wander.
Where the facts come from
Every ownership fact here is taken from a company's own filing: an annual report, a stock exchange disclosure, a company registry, or a press release from one of the parties. News articles and encyclopaedias are used to find things, never to prove them.
Every brand page lists its sources at the bottom, with the date each one was last checked.
What we leave out
If a number was never made public you get a word instead, "a majority" rather than a guess. If two sources disagree we record both rather than picking one silently.
Some brands are names rather than companies. Where there is no share capital the page says the brand belongs to the company that sells it, instead of printing a percentage that does not exist.
What is here so far
Cars you can buy today, and the companies above them. Marques that stopped production are a later pass.
