The rights to the ALPINA brand transferred to the BMW Group on 1 January 2026 under an agreement announced on 10 March 2022, in which BMW took the trade marks alone and no shares in ALPINA Burkard Bovensiepen GmbH + Co. KG, whose own vehicle programme ended with the cooperation agreement on 31 December 2025.
