Baojun is a brand of SAIC Motor.
SAIC-GM-Wuling created Baojun as a passenger-car brand of its own and launched it on 18 July 2010; the first car, the Baojun 630, came off the line on 22 November that year.

General Motors' China press material of the time calls it "SAIC-GM-Wuling's new Baojun passenger car brand", whose first model entered the market in August 2011.

No car is sold as an SAIC: the names it owns outright include MG, which stayed British in everything but ownership, while the joint ventures on its own subsidiary list build Volkswagens and Buicks for China. Shanghai's city government controls it through an unlisted parent company rather than holding the shares itself.
