Jetour is a brand of Chery.

Chery Holding launched Jetour in 2018 as a new line aimed at the "travel+" segment, and Jetour's own company profile dates it there: 「捷途汽车是奇瑞控股集团顺应市场发展趋势和消费者需求,于2018年推出的全新产品序列,2021年7月升级为独立品牌」 — "Jetour is a brand-new product line that Chery Holding Group launched in 2018 in response to market trends and consumer demand, and which was upgraded to an independent brand in July 2021".

  1. 2018 Chery Holding launched Jetour in 2018 as a new line aimed at the "travel+" segment, and Jetour's own company profile dates it there: 「捷途汽车是奇瑞控股集团顺应市场发展趋势和消费者需求,于2018年推出的全新产品序列,2021年7月升级为独立品牌」 — "Jetour is a brand-new product line that Chery Holding Group launched in 2018 in response to market trends and consumer demand, and which was upgraded to an independent brand in July 2021". Its brand page puts the same year more plainly: 「基于奇瑞控股二十年造车技术积累…捷途汽车于2018年应运而生」, "built on twenty years of Chery Holding's car-making experience… Jetour came into being in 2018". Chery's listing prospectus dates the marque from the same year in its milestones — "2018: JETOUR X70 as its first model was launched officially" — although the sales company that carries the name, Wuhu Jetour Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. (蕪湖捷途汽車銷售有限公司), had been registered a year earlier on 28 April 2017. The Jetour assets and business were moved out of Chery Holding and into Chery Automobile itself in the reorganisation that ran from June 2022 to January 2024, which the prospectus treats as a business combination under common control.

Chery names its brands rather than buying them, and has led Chinese passenger-car exports for more than twenty years. Its holding company handed its shares straight to its own shareholders in 2025, leaving the listed company with no parent at all — Wuhu's state investment arm, where the money started, is now only the largest holder.
