Four years, one owner

The year is coloured by whoever held it at the time.

  1. 2022 GAC Aion launched the badge in 2022 under the English name Hyper. The group's annual report for that year records it among Aion's work: 「坚持品牌向上,发布品牌全新LOGO-"AI神箭",推出全新高端品牌系列Hyper昊铂以及旗下首款车型-纯电量产超跑Hyper SSR及Hyper GT,开启品牌全面高端化新纪元」 — a new logo, and a wholly new premium brand series, Hyper (昊铂), with its first two cars, the pure-electric production supercar Hyper SSR and the Hyper GT. The English name has since changed to Hyptec, which is what GAC's 2025 report calls it; the Chinese name 昊铂 has not changed, and neither has the owner. Wikidata dates the brand to September 2022, a month GAC's own reports do not give.

GAC's own badges include Trumpchi, which it built a company around two years before it had a car to sell, and Aion and Hyptec, which belong to an electric-car subsidiary that took outside investors in without changing hands. The joint ventures it half owns build Hondas and Toyotas for China. Guangzhou's city government controls the group through an unlisted holding company rather than holding the shares itself.
