Where it sits
Two levels. A figure marks a company boundary crossed; a word means the figure was never published.

Four years, one owner
The year is coloured by whoever held it at the time.
- 2022 Dongfeng created the badge in 2022. Its own milestone list reads 「2022年成立猛士汽车科技公司,进入豪华电动越野车领域」 — the M-Hero automobile technology company was established in 2022 and the group entered the luxury electric off-road market — and Wikidata gives the same year. The first car, the 猛士917, followed in 2023, and the group's monthly production and sales report has carried M-Hero as a line of its own since. The name is older than the brand: 猛士 has been on the group's military off-road vehicles for years, and what 2022 marks is the badge a civilian can buy.

A truck works built in the mountains in 1969, whose vehicles the State Council named six years later, and which now puts that name on the cars of several brand lines as well as on lorries. Its premium electric brand was floated in Hong Kong in 2026 and the group's own listed arm was taken private in the same week, which left the unlisted state-owned corporation as the company anyone outside China is pointing at. The joint ventures on its books build other groups' cars.
